The Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria has announced initiatives aimed at enhancing transparency, professionalism, and sustainability in the real estate sector. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the REDAN Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday where the association’s President, Akintoye Adeoye, outlined the organisation’s vision for the future of real estate development in Nigeria.
Adeoye emphasised REDAN’s commitment to addressing key challenges in the sector, particularly those related to transparency and accountability.
“Our administration is focused on enhancing transparency within the Association by opening our operations to the world and our members. This initiative aims to foster trust, discipline, and accountability within the real estate sector,” he said. In a move to support the Federal Government’s housing initiatives, REDAN has appointed 24 committees comprising over 100 members of the association.
These committees will focus on critical areas including advocacy, innovation, and sustainability. “To further support the government’s efforts in addressing the housing needs of Nigerians, and in line with our mission, I am pleased to officially announce the appointment of 24 committees, comprising over 100 dedicated members of the association,” Adeoye stated.
One of the key areas of focus for REDAN’s new administration is the promotion of innovative practices in real estate. Adeoye highlighted the importance of embracing technology and sustainable development practices. “As we look to the future, REDAN is committed to embracing innovation, particularly through the integration of technology in real estate. This includes promoting sustainable practices, green initiatives, and digital platforms that streamline property transactions,” he explained.
