Seplat Energy has announced that its Chairman, Mr. Udoma Udo Udoma, has acquired an additional 32,500 ordinary shares in the company, reinforcing his commitment to the Nigerian energy giant.
The transaction, disclosed in a Directors’ Dealing Notification submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) on December 19, 2024, was signed by the company secretary, Mrs. Edith Onwuchekwa.
Following this purchase, Mr. Udoma’s total shareholding in Seplat Energy now stands at 55,071 shares, equating to a voting interest of approximately 0.00935% based on the company’s total issued shares of 588,444,561.
The company stated:
“The Company was notified of the purchase of 32,500 ordinary shares by Mr. Udoma Udo Udoma, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company. Following this purchase, Mr. Udoma now holds 55,071 shares in the Company, which equates to a voting interest of 0.00935% based on the issued shares of 588,444,561.”
The disclosure complies with Rule 17.15(c) of the NGX Rulebook, 2015 (Issuers’ Rules), and Article 19(3) of the UK Market Abuse Regulations, meeting regulatory requirements for transactions by directors and key management personnel.
This development highlights Mr. Udoma’s continued belief in Seplat Energy’s strategic direction and prospects.
