Barminco Secures Duketon Underground Mining Contract Extension Until 2028

Underground mining services provider Barminco has secured an extension to its contract with Regis Resources for operations at the Duketon Operations in Western Australia, which includes the Rosemont and Garden Well underground mines.

The alliance-style agreement ensures long-term stability for both parties, reinforcing their strategic partnership.

Perenti, Barminco’s parent company, confirmed on April 2, 2024, that the initial contract had a three-year term with a rolling 12-month extension mechanism.

Commenting on the extension, Gabrielle Iwanow, Perenti’s president of contract mining, stated:

“Having recently visited both Garden Well and Rosemont to spend time with the team and see the quality of operations, I am pleased that Regis and Barminco have agreed to extending the alliance for an additional year. Regis is one of Australia’s leading gold producers, and we have developed a strong working relationship with them at their Duketon Operations.”

The contract extension, valued at A$180 million, adds 12 months to the existing agreement, extending it until March 30, 2028.

Barminco, which was founded in Western Australia, continues to strengthen its presence in the region while delivering reliable and value-driven mining solutions globally.
