Kwara Offers Partnership for Mechanized Farming Expansion

The Kwara State Government has invited communities, commercial farms, and schools with at least 10 hectares of cleared land to partner with the state in large-scale food production as part of efforts to boost agricultural productivity and food security.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, aims to enhance mechanized farming, drive economic development, and create more opportunities for rural communities.

In a statement released by the ministry’s Press Secretary, Omotola Ashaolu, stakeholders were encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to collaborate with the government to advance sustainable agriculture.

“The state government is committed to strengthening the agricultural sector, and this partnership will facilitate increased food production while creating economic opportunities for communities,” the statement read in part.

Interested stakeholders are required to submit an Expression of Interest on or before Monday, February 3, 2025. For inquiries and partnership details, they are advised to contact the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development before the deadline.
