The firm secured its top McCarthy Tetrault has emerged as the leading legal adviser by deal value in the metals and mining sector for mergers and acquisitions position by advising on transactions worth $14.1 billion (£11.46 billion).
Cassels Brock & Blackwell topped the list by deal volume, surpassing its third-place position in 2023. The firm also secured the ninth spot by value, highlighting its strong performance in the sector.
Speaking after the release of the rankings, GlobalData’s lead analyst, Aurojyoti Bose, noted:
“Cassels Brock & Blackwell not only led by volume but also secured a top-10 position by value. Interestingly, the top three advisers by volume in 2023 reversed positions in 2024. Meanwhile, McCarthy Tetrault retained its top value ranking and placed third by volume.”
