United Capital Infrastructure Fund Delivers ₦1.61bn Payout, Records 24.99% Return

United Capital Infrastructure Fund (UCIF), the infrastructure fund managed by United Capital Plc, has announced a distribution of ₦1.61 billion to unitholders for the half-year period ending June 30, 2025.

This brings total payouts since inception to over ₦4.6 billion, underscoring its position as one of Nigeria’s leading infrastructure-focused investment funds. UCIF achieved a gross return of 24.99% in the period, backed by strong portfolio performance and disciplined governance.

Launched in 2021 as a ₦150 billion SEC-licensed closed-ended fund, UCIF finances critical projects in agribusiness, gas, captive power, healthcare, industrial recycling, renewable energy, and manufacturing across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.

For H1 2025, the fund posted ₦1.57 billion in revenue, representing more than 120% growth from the ₦703 million recorded in the same period of 2024. This growth was driven by strong cashflows from portfolio projects and a robust investment process.

Speaking on the results, Uchenna Mkparu, Chief Investment Officer of UCIF, said the fund’s performance highlights its commitment to sound governance and rigorous due diligence. “We remain dedicated to delivering strong returns while supporting high-impact, commercially viable projects that drive sustainable growth,” he added.

As Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa continue to prioritize infrastructure development, UCIF is positioning itself as a key player in mobilizing long-term capital for transformative projects.
