Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace, has taken delivery of a brand-new Embraer 190 jet as part of its ongoing fleet expansion strategy. The 96-seater aircraft, with registration 5N-CER, touched down at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Friday at 2:42 p.m.
The airline confirmed that the latest addition will enhance domestic and regional operations while boosting efficiency and passenger experience. According to spokesperson Efe Osifo, Air Peace expects more Embraer units in 2026, reinforcing its commitment to fleet modernization.
The development also follows a bilateral air services agreement between Nigeria and Brazil, brokered during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent state visit, paving the way for direct flights between both nations.
Air Peace says it will unveil new domestic routes, expand international services, and deepen regional presence, positioning itself as a key driver of aviation growth in Africa.
