Malaysia’s Sapura Energy has clinched new offshore contracts worth over RM 500 million (approximately $118 million) with Thai oil and gas majors Chevron Thailand and PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP).
Awarded to Sapura Energy (Thailand) Limited, the contracts cover:
Installation and removal operations for Chevron, to be completed by end of 2026.
Subsea inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) for PTTEP’s G1/61 and G2/61 projects, already underway since Q2 2025.
The campaigns will be handled by Sapura’s Engineering & Construction (E&C) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) divisions, utilizing the Sapura Constructor, a fully-equipped subsea vessel supporting 120 crew and 15 divers.
SEB Group CEO Muhammad Zamri Jusoh emphasized this as a strategic move to reinforce Sapura’s offshore presence in Thailand, stating the projects align with the Group’s risk appetite and vessel deployment strategy.
Earlier this year, Sapura Drilling also landed drilling contracts worth $720 million, solidifying the Group’s strong regional momentum.
